Watercolor On Digital Stamps

I printed the PDF (four 3″x4″) on white card card stock AND on a 90lb. watercolor paper.  I used some watercolor pencils but I don’t like the effect. That blue ghost (top left) looks like color crayon.  Instead I used my water brush (I’ll attach an image of the water brush below this post) to wet the ghost then I brush the color off the pencil and added it to the wet ghost.  That’s how I achieved the dark gray color on the ghost next to the blue one. No hard lines on that ghost. I used copic markers on the sheet that’s blurry in the top of the picture. I have LOTS of images to work with.  I want to attach some of them to Halloween party bags. SCHOOL PROJECT TREE

The school project tree was fun!  Not sure why....maybe because I knew it would eventually be covered with birds so mistakes weren't as important?
All the black lines are done in sharpie.  I LOVE SHARPIE! Especially on this cold press (bumpy) paper.  The pen didn't dry up and sort of soaked into the paper.
I love these lines that look like mapping elevation lines.
The trick was the sky....what trouble.  My MIL was here to witness the frustration.  LOTS of hard lines, back washes and funny white hard water? lines.  The color I used was quinacridone violet.  Ugh...don't like it.
The trunk was fun.  Lots of rust colors.
All the birdies done by Mr. Jensen's 5th grade class!
They are paper clipped to their names so I wouldn't lose track.
Mr. Jensen is at the top!
Tommy's fat pink bird. Love it!
These were such charming little birds.  Anyone know how to rotate a picture after it's loaded?
Nice brown frame to complete the work.
Everyone did such a great job.  I love that they are all looking the same direction.  Except for one!  Can you find him?

Getting Trendy Soap business going.

Aren't the cupcakes cute?

Those signs were harder than one would think to make!

Sketching some chickens.

Making my penguins...who are afraid of birds by the way.

Celebration my oldest, Andy's 15th *14  NOT 15 I always jump ahead!* birthday!  So fun!

CHRISTMAS SEASON IS COMING!

Halloween was so great this year!  Not sure why?  Maybe all the scary movies and festivities.  It seems like there were more than the usual "fun things" to do this year for the scary season.  I LOVE scary!  The haunted houses are still too scary but we made it to a haunted corn maze.  We thought we made it all the way through the maze when we were chase by a masked chainsaw "killer" across the field at the end.  Whew, that was fun!

My paintings are still hanging in the Moonstruck Cafe.  Not sure if anything has sold.  I'm to chicken to ask and they haven't called so I assume nothing is selling.  BUT I have to look at it like an opportunity and just having them hang around at the cafe is an accomplishment....so she tells herself.  :)

cranberry pomegranate
Also, getting ready for the first bazaar of the season.  I have some amazing new products and fragrances.  The favorite this year is still the cranberry pomegranate.  Such a sweet fruity scent!  I'm off to make some lotion to match some of the soap fragrances.  Here I go.....

MAGGIE & MONSTER

The little sketches I posted earlier were for these magnets.
Monsters are so much fun to draw...the combinations are endless....
The monster is trying to be gentle with his flowers!
New tree for my Uncle Rich...I don't like the octopus looking roots in the front.  Hopefully I can "fix" them, somehow....

Also, I signed up for another ATC (artist trading card) swap!  Valentine themed.  I get so inspired by ATC swaps.  :)

MORE TREES TO COME....

A smaller tree I'm working on...I think I'll add some yellow glitter to the flame on the candles on the branches so they will sparkle. Not sure what color to make the candles. Still trying to learn how to make an even background with watercolor. Do I mask out all the little details every time? How do you get an even coat without letting parts dry?
Below: Hanging out with family. My BIL's birthday party was a blast! My Boys in the hot tub with SIL. MY BIL snuggling with my SIL. Paul and I cheek to cheek. Our usual picture Paul does a good job taking!

PATCHES FOR PURSES

These goofy little characters are for the purses I'm trying to make. Well, I don't really make the purses, Minh does but I embellish some of them. I use fabric paint and permanent markers. I'm super impressed. It all actually works better than I thought it would. The colors are fabulous and blend well.

HAND PAINTED CANDLE

This candle I painted for my friend Cheryl. She LOVES dragonflies! His wings are sparkled with glitter glue which doesn't show up very well in this picture. I think, I'm going to paint this little guy all over the walls in my kitchen. Ssssshhhhhh, don't tell Paul. We are under construction in the house. New kitchen counters and new wall....well they took out a part of a wall. New bathrooms and new computer area. Whew, lots of chaos. New posts will be few and far between until all is back to normal!
Are you happy Tina? New post! :)
