MONSTERS ON A ONSIE!

These are little monsters I drew on a onesie for my SIL's friend. I used some sharpies.

I think the host is going to have everyone decorate a onesie and mail it to her. Then she will hang them on a clothes line all over the house as decoration. What a good idea!

The baby is a boy and so I had orders to make something boyish and different. I thought these monsters were a good idea. The monsters were inspired by an image off the web. I can't take all the credit for these guys! :P

The alien on the butt is all mine! :)

PATCHES FOR PURSES

These goofy little characters are for the purses I'm trying to make. Well, I don't really make the purses, Minh does but I embellish some of them. I use fabric paint and permanent markers. I'm super impressed. It all actually works better than I thought it would. The colors are fabulous and blend well.

SEWING IN SISTERS OREGON

My Sister-In-Law and I were in Sisters Oregon for a weekend of sewing. Lots of fun! The house, my best friend Jan rented us, was perfect for the sewing weekend. We each had our own "stations". We even had an ironing station and cutting station set up.

My quilt is the black and bright one. I still need to applique some of the pieces onto the quilt and do a ton of embroidering, don't know how to do either! What have I got myself into? I'm glad I chose to go small. Neece decided to do a full queen bedspread!

My SIL (Neece) is making her quilt for her Mom's bed. Beautiful material, as you can see, along with pictures of the grand babies. Neece is really good at quilting. You would never know this is her first attempt at quilting. I'm jealous of her quilting abilities! :) Her mom will be so surprised!

THE PURSE

My SIL and I muddled through a pattern and actually made purses. (Another project I never thought I would be doing) It was so much fun working on this together. I cut out patterns for two more purses. They are smaller versions of the ones we made. These are the first things we ever did on our sewing machines.

I never thought I would use my sewing machine!
