NECKLACES! THESE ARE MY FAVORITE KIND...

I made this one on Mother's Day weekend at the beach.  It goes with my royal blue clothes. :)

This was for my Sister, for her birthday!

I adore the earrings!

This is for my black and white polka dot dress.

The white beads in the jewelry is elephant ivory.

My grandparents were in the import/export business.  They imported elephant ivory legally (I have paper work) in the 1970's. I have a box full of scrimshaw or "blanks" for carving.  I do not know what to do with all of it.  I have used two little strands of beads for jewelry, for myself. As beautiful as the ivory beads are, it seems strange and sad that smart and wonderful elephants have given their lives for their tusks.  Not sure what's the right thing to do.  I hate being responsible for that box of ivory.

BLUE GREEN GOODNESS

One of my favorite necklaces! Because it goes with turquoise. You can't tell from the pictures but it's perfect with almost all shades of blues and greens. It's also kind of dainty. :)
This is the last of the jewelry for awhile. I am almost done with three of my paintings and one collage/watercolor is finished. I just need to start snapping some photos. The Neece painting is hard work! It's also different than some of the others. Can't wait to see what you think!

WHAT'S RED AND WHITE WITH SPOTS?

Simple red and white necklace and earrings. For some reason it reminds me of candy. Maybe strawberry? I love red right now. I think this necklace needs more red in it but maybe all the white makes the red, "pop" not sure. I am having fun with the jewelry, so relaxing!

BLACK AND WHITE JEWELRY

Black and white jewelry is my favorite! Easy to work with because they are easy to match and goes with anything! Love it! I found most of these beads and Joann Fabrics. The big store in Orenco Station has a great selection. However, my sis just found this little store in St. John's, Portland. The store is run out of an old Victorian house, wall to wall beads. We spent hours there and still haven't seen everything. My favorite beads were the mood beads. They change color with heat. SO beautiful! I'll have to post a picture of those beads next time!

SO MUCH FUN!

I was messing around over the weekend making little earrings when I discovered some beads I love, but have no matches. So, I made them into a charm necklace. I even took apart old necklaces and used pieces from those! Jewelry is sort of new to me so I was excited to discover this idea. So much fun!

This necklace is noisy, busy and a little obnoxious. However, it is my favorite and I wear it all the time. Kinda cool when you can make something you would actually love to wear.

NECKLACE & EARRINGS

This necklace and matching earrings is one of my favorites. It goes with aqua colors. You can't tell from this picture but there is a lot of green blue glass beads in this piece. My SIL and I spent a whole evening a few nights ago playing with our beads. I have a few in things in my Etsy shop but this isn't really my passion. I really want to get some art work in the shop.
I'm getting a button maker soon, I'll try to do little pieces of art work with those. Also, some cards and paintings. I wonder if I should just focus on one thing for the shop? I've never been very good at that. For awhile I was thinking about doing purses and stuffies. Then ornaments and angel dolls. None of those things go together. Does it matter?
