HOLIDAY SEASON

I love this time of year.  So much activity, people running around and getting things done.  I know, I know, lots of stress and money being spent but the energy is fun for me. I get good vibes from watching all the busy bees work.  I usually make stuff for people at  Christmas time which helps with my pocket book. I minimize the running around and being one of the busy bees, although I think it's kinda fun.

This year I've landed on felt!  I'm felt crazy.  Felt animals, pouches, clips and anything I can think of.  I was lucky to steal my niece yesterday so we could make some stuffies.

This little turtle was our favorite project.  Hayley drew the pattern shapes on a file folder traced the shapes on felt and cut them out.  I used hot glue to glue all the pieces together.  Hayley stuffed the turtle with Polly Fill and added the embellishments.  She loves the hand sewing.  All those little beads are perfect finishing touches!

Hayley was very proud of her turtle creation.  She did great for her first Stuffie!

Her next project was a little pig.  I think he was the most fun to design. A lot of little pieces and details.  It was fun watching Hayley figure out her own creation.  He even has bead work on his ears!

Sis stopped by and whipped out a bunny head.  Sheesh!  She is amazing.  Took her maybe 10 min to create this bunny from scratch.  She is one of the most talented crafters I've ever met!

I like shopping and running around.  Most people don't.  Unfortunately I don't have the money to do that kind of Christmas giving.  Creating gifts is a fun way to save money and make something extra special for loved ones.  Crafting is better than running around the mall, for those of you who don't like that.  It's better than sitting on the computer all day or watching TV all day.  Think about taking the time to hand make your gifts.

Still working on the CardMakingArtists site.  Have a lot done and working on more....so excited for the launch.  Not sure when that will be.  Bro and I are taking our time to make it just right.

Super cute!! The turtle is my favorite (but I'm a bit biased, having a turtle in my family for over 20 yrs!) but the pig is a close second! What a fun way to spend time together!
