PPF PAINTING FOR "TREES" OF A TREE...

Here is the beginning of the tree painting for the restaurant "Trees"!
I used quinacridone gold for a warm bright undercoat.
Twinkling H2O for some sparkle in the tree trunk.
Transparent iron orange oxide and quinacridone rust are the main colors of the tree trunk.
A warm and bright combination of green.  Olive and sap.
DONE! I really like using the M. Gramm watercolors.  I'm loyal to that brand.  Which brand of paint do you use?
Forgot to take the picture before I framed the painting.  I was in a hurry to get it done and make my appointment to hang the work in the restaurant.

This is a more traditional painting for me.  These are the trees I LOVE to do.  They are intense and take a lot out of me.  Not as fun as the bears :)  BUT probably more full filling or is it for filling?

I like the close ups of the bright reds and rusts. I hope they are still in the final photo but I can't tell. ;-)

Happy PPF on Saturday.

i am so glad you shared some close ups of this piece. they show the lovely detail of your art, just beautiful.

as for paint, i am not sure what my favorite is yet. i am craving some lessons in WC technique though. I do love Derwent Inktense pencils.
