TEN YEAR OLD BOYS

Last day to post a message for the giveaway!

Please MOM stop taking pictures of me!

Seriously!

My ten year old is so full of spit and vinegar.  Sassy and smart but he hates to read.  Loves electronics but nothing creative.  So logical, just like his dad.  At ten his attitude is off the charts.  I'm looking for ways to connect with him and find some common ground.  Being an artistic, creative, lover of reading we are at odds most of the time.  How do you connect with your child/children?

I went through the same thing with my mom when I was little. I'd always felt closer to my dad, as he and I tended to enjoy many of the same things. I don't know why my mom and I weren't closer, I guess our personalities were just too different. Funny thing is now that I'm grown, I have a closer relationship with her than I do my dad. Guess I don't really have any advice as to how to really connect, other than to just give it some time and don't give up hope!

Thanks Anita! That's good information. So hard when I'm in one room and Tommy is in another and we are perfectly happy that way. I end up forcing him to do stuff with me. :) Like every good Mom should do, right? hehe
